Behold the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God. And your sins have hidden His face from you so that he will not hear.

Isaiah 59:1-2

Lord, we know you are all-powerful and that you invite your people to call out to you in times of their need. These are days of great need in our land. Many face enormous financial pressures and hardships. Marriages are under great strain. Many suffer illnesses. Crime and oppression are widespread. Many people suffer from loneliness and hurt. Everywhere we turn today, we see evidence that our nation needs a fresh touch from you. Your word teaches us that you are able to save, but our sins have separated us from an experience of your power. You know our thoughts, the intentions of our hearts and the unconfessed sin in our lives. Would you move us today across this land toward doing whatever it takes to have clean hands and a pure heart before you? Cleanse us of our sin. Nothing is too hard for you; for you can meet every need our nation has today. Grant that we would have an urgency to come before you with cleansed lives so that you will hear our prayer and heal our land. In Jesus’ name – Amen.
