Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths

Father, today we acknowledge that your word instructs us to acknowledge you in all the paths of life. Today, we want to do that in the area of our government leaders. May we be found faithful in prayer to seek your face for our nation and for our government leaders. Lord, we know that we do not have to agree with someone in order to pray for them. So, help us faithfully intercede for our leaders, whoever they may be. May you have authority over every level of government so that our nation brings you honor by the way it conducts itself.

Especially today, Lord, may you above all else, be truly Lord of every church across the land. May every pastor and church member surrender all control and glory to you. May each pastor and church member acknowledge you in every area of life. May every church in America serve you faithfully and bring glory to your name as we trust in you with all our heart. Amen.
