“Father, as we come before your throne today, we acknowledge that there is no one who possesses wisdom like you. And we acknowledge that today and everyday, we need your wisdom in the face of a world filled with so many counterfeit truths. Today, we turn our ear to you and ask that you apply understanding to our hearts and minds that we might recognize that which is false and discern what is true.

 We seek you for discipline, righteousness, justice and integrity and the strength to stand as salt and light in the world. As our leaders make decisions that affect the destiny of millions, grant an awareness of the frailty of our human judgments and the availability of your wisdom to those who will ask and believe that in all things, your ways are best. Father, may we look carefully at how we walk, not as unwise, but as those who are making the most of every opportunity you give us to honor your Name. We pray in the name of Jesus – Amen.”
