“Sanctify them by Your truth, Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.”

“Father, we worship you today as the one who has given us Your word of truth through the pages of the Bible and the life of Your Son, Jesus, the Living Word. And just as Jesus prayed that You might sanctify us by Your word, we seek today to know Your truth in ways that radically impact everything we think, say and do.  It is our desire today to be known as Your people in this world. We re-commit ourselves to be ‘salt’ and ‘light’, to be the ‘aroma of Christ’ in all places at all times. We also confess that we are unable to do this without the powerful touch of Your truth and the empowering of the Holy Spirit. Father, may be hunger for your words of truth more than we would ever hunger for food or thirst for drink.

 We have been sent into a world that does not submit to Your truth. We pray for your hand to rest upon us and for Your Spirit to teach us, lead us, embolden us so that in us and through us Your Name may receive great glory. We submit ourselves today in obedience – in the precious and strong name of Jesus, Amen.”
