“Father, today, we give thanks for our nation and our leaders. We hold up before Your throne those in positions of authority – the president, congress, legal authorities, for those having authority over us in any place of leadership.We pray for Your Spirit to rest upon their lives and Your wisdom to find a home in their minds and hearts.

 Father, we are in desperate need of men and women in places of authority who will cry out to You for guidance and who will stand without shame, hesitation or compromise, using only Your eternal truth as the guide for their lives. We pray for men and women who will walk blameless and upright before others. And we pray this for our lives, that we would be stewards of Your truth in every circumstance, relationship and decision of life today and every day.

 We place the heart of our president in Your hands today, asking that You turn His heart and mind in any way You so desire and that You will receive great glory. We pray that wickedness will be exposed and justice will triumph. We offer ourselves as Your servants to stand in prayer before Your throne on behalf of our nation. In Jesus’ Name we pray – Amen.”
