“Father in Heaven, today as your children, we ask the searchlight of Your truth to penetrate our hearts and minds, to expose before us every hidden motive, agenda and desire. Remind us today of Your ways, Your principles, Your precepts and burn them deeply within us, that we might serve You and worship You in spirit and in truth.

 As we move toward a new year on the calendar, may the passion of our hearts be to move to new places of communion with Your heart and mind, to move to new levels of effectiveness in our witness before others, to move to higher levels of faithfulness and obedience to Your will and Your ways. Enlighten the eyes of our hearts, that we might understand the desperate need for revival in our lives and in the lives of Your people. Grant us wisdom in our spirits, the refining presence of Your love and the all consuming control of the Holy Spirit.

 We yield to You, Lord Jesus, for there is no one else who has the words of eternal life, no one else who is worthy to be called Savior and Lord. May we acknowledge You in all the paths of life and walk in the light of the Word and under the full influence of the Holy Spirit so that we might bear much fruit to Your glory. We pray this in Jesus’ Name – Amen.”
