“See to it that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
Ephesians 5:15-16“Father, today as we come before Your throne, we acknowledge your omniscient character – there is nothing that escapes Your awareness and there is nothing beyond your wisdom. We also confess the sin of our shallowness, our tendencies toward convenient answers and our lack of mindfulness, taking time to consult You before we plunge into the decisions and relationships of life each day.
Father, today may we recommit ourselves to Your wisdom and determine that through the strength and counsel of the Holy Spirit that our steps will be ordered by Your truth. We purpose in our hearts to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, resting in the truth that You will supply all of our needs according to Your glorious riches that are in Christ Jesus.
We desire for Your truth to be the ‘umpire’ in our lives today, reminding us of what is ‘fair’ or ‘foul’, what will bring us frustration and what will bring You glory. We set our ears toward Your counsel and our hearts to be affected by Your understanding. O Father, help us to redeem the time of our lives through Your Spirit at work in us. We pray in Jesus’ name – Amen.”
