“That you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man that was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.”

“Father, today we come before Your throne in the name of and through the grace of Your Son, Jesus. We praise You for Your great mercies, for You making us alive through our confession and repentance of sin and our faith in Jesus. Because of this, we are new creations, created to be like Jesus.

 Oh Father, we cry out to You for the strengthening of Your presence through the Holy Spirit, that we might know Your heart and mind and that Your character would be more fully expressed in us and through us. Renew us today in our minds, that we would meditate on Your Word, that it would dwell in us richly, that we would hide it in our hearts that we would not sin against You.

 Forgive us for the sins of the old person, the times of watching, reading and listening to the deceitful things of Satan. Cleanse us as we submit to You, sanctify us, that we might live for You in righteousness and holiness. Today, we fix our minds and hearts on You, O Lord, on that which is true and good and right. We guard our hearts with diligence so that out of our lives today would flow that which brings praise and glory to Your Name. We lay ourselves before You today as an offering, our spiritual service of worship – in Jesus’ name – Amen.”
