“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.â€

Philippians 4:6-7

“Father, today, we acknowledge your invitation to pray, to come with boldness before Your throne, to pray without ceasing. Teach us the joy of a continual conversation with You. Strengthen our personal discipline to begin each day with our hearts and minds before You – seeking to know what is on Your heart and mind.

We know that You alone are able to make all things work together for the good of those who love you and are called according to Your purpose. When we look around us, we are tempted to believe that somehow You are not in control, that evil is winning the day in so many lives and places in our world. Remind us that You are never surprised or worried by people or circumstances and may that reminder call us before You with in prayer and supplication, thanking You as our Father for your peace that guards our hearts and minds and Your power that strengthens us to be Your salt and light in the world each day.

Forgive us for anytime we think someone or something is larger or stronger than You. We trust You, we want to abide in You and walk with You and let Your words shape our thoughts and actions this very day.We offer ourselves to You as living sacrifices – in Jesus’ name, Amen.â€
