Oh Father, we cry out to You for the strengthening of Your presence through the Holy Spirit, that we might know Your heart and mind and that Your character would be more fully expressed in us and through us. Renew us today in our minds, that we would meditate on Your Word, that it would dwell in us richly, that we would hide it in our hearts that we would not sin against You.

 Forgive us for the sins of the old person, the times of watching, reading and listening to the deceitful things of Satan. Cleanse us as we submit to You, sanctify us, that we might live for You in righteousness and holiness. Today, we fix our minds and hearts on You, O Lord, on that which is true and good and right. We guard our hearts with diligence so that out of our lives today would flow that which brings praise and glory to Your Name. We lay ourselves before You today as an offering, our spiritual service of worship – in Jesus’ name – Amen.”

We know that You alone are able to make all things work together for the good of those who love you and are called according to Your purpose. When we look around us, we are tempted to believe that somehow You are not in control, that evil is winning the day in so many lives and places in our world. Remind us that You are never surprised or worried by people or circumstances and may that reminder call us before You with in prayer and supplication, thanking You as our Father for your peace that guards our hearts and minds and Your power that strengthens us to be Your salt and light in the world each day.

Forgive us for anytime we think someone or something is larger or stronger than You. We trust You, we want to abide in You and walk with You and let Your words shape our thoughts and actions this very day.We offer ourselves to You as living sacrifices – in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

 Father, today may we recommit ourselves to Your wisdom and determine that through the strength and counsel of the Holy Spirit that our steps will be ordered by Your truth. We purpose in our hearts to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, resting in the truth that You will supply all of our needs according to Your glorious riches that are in Christ Jesus.

 We desire for Your truth to be the ‘umpire’ in our lives today, reminding us of what is ‘fair’ or ‘foul’, what will bring us frustration and what will bring You glory. We set our ears toward Your counsel and our hearts to be affected by Your understanding. O Father, help us to redeem the time of our lives through Your Spirit at work in us. We pray in Jesus’ name – Amen.”

 As we move toward a new year on the calendar, may the passion of our hearts be to move to new places of communion with Your heart and mind, to move to new levels of effectiveness in our witness before others, to move to higher levels of faithfulness and obedience to Your will and Your ways. Enlighten the eyes of our hearts, that we might understand the desperate need for revival in our lives and in the lives of Your people. Grant us wisdom in our spirits, the refining presence of Your love and the all consuming control of the Holy Spirit.

 We yield to You, Lord Jesus, for there is no one else who has the words of eternal life, no one else who is worthy to be called Savior and Lord. May we acknowledge You in all the paths of life and walk in the light of the Word and under the full influence of the Holy Spirit so that we might bear much fruit to Your glory. We pray this in Jesus’ Name – Amen.”

May our gratitude for Your gift be reflected in the ways we worship and follow You through obedience to the words and life of Jesus every day. When we reflect on the selfless worship of the wise men at the feet of Jesus, let us see that their worship resulted in their giving. And may we allow our worship to be completed in our giving – first of our hearts to You, our lives to Your Son and our resources in the service of others. May our thanksgiving at Christmas be reflected in our living today – in the name of Your Son and our Savior, Jesus – Amen.”

 Today, we seek Your heart and mind in re-ordering the priorities of our lives as Your children. So often,we are consumed by the worship of things, schedules and even other people. Help us to realize that You are more interested in my worship through obedience than in my offering of material things to You. Forgive us today for worshipping our self-made idols.

 We covenant with You to lay aside our personal desires and yield to Your purposes and plans, to run after Your heart and surrender all that we are and have to You. We choose to take up our cross daily and follow You, that we would lose our lives for You that we might find the abundant life only You can give. We worship in obedience – in Jesus’ name – Amen.”

 We have been sent into a world that does not submit to Your truth. We pray for your hand to rest upon us and for Your Spirit to teach us, lead us, embolden us so that in us and through us Your Name may receive great glory. We submit ourselves today in obedience – in the precious and strong name of Jesus, Amen.”

So, today, we ask to be clothed in Your whole armor – that we may be able to stand in these evil days. We desire to gird our loins with Your truth which is Your Word; may it dwell deeply within our minds and hearts daily. We desire to wear the breastplate of Your righteousness and be instruments of that righteousness as we display Your love. As we wear the shoes of the Gospel of peace, may we be reminded of the ministry of reconciliation You have given us – that men, women, boys and girls must be first reconciled to You and then to each other.

We take up the shield of faith, that we may proclaim Your truth, quenching the fiery darts of the evil one and those who follow his leading. May the helmet of salvation – all that is Your heart,mind, character and ways – be the crown of our lives today. And may we never neglect the sword of Your Word, which is eternal and daily truth for our lives. We are Your people, called by Your name and today, we commit individually and together to stand for You – in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
